Hi!

I'm a hobby photographer based in Seattle, Washington. I've had a lifelong obsession with wildlife, animal behavior, and natural history. I started my photography journey as a kid (documenting orb-weaver spiders with a low resolution camcorder); when I finally bought my first telephoto lens in college with savings from my first TA job... it was all over!

I love environmental shots that use light and location to tell a story and evoke emotion, bringing you intimately into the subject's world. Minimal impact and conservation are the priority!

I do occasional dog photography sessions. My passion is in chasing the light (or lack thereof) for creative portraits, extraordinary landscapes, and sport and action. Contact me for more information, or check out my portfolio here!

I also enjoy hiking, running, and skiing (badly) in the beautiful Cascades, competitive dog agility, plants shaped like cups, and cooking. When I'm not belly-down in a swamp getting personal with goose droppings, you might be able to find me:

• accompanied by a couple of crazy corgis (and an honorary corgi)
• squelching through a creek with very wet socks
• gazing wistfully off into the middle distance from a rocky overlook
• repotting a neverending orchid collection
